Ele’s Place is a nonprofit, community based organization in Michigan dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children and their families. Through peer support group programs, Ele’s Place helps children to cope with the death of a parent, sibling or other close family member or friend.

Before going to Ele’s Place, many grieving children feel alone and keep their feelings inside, not wanting to burden their parents or other family members. Often, friends don’t seem to understand if they haven’t had a similar experience. But each week at Ele’s Place, hundreds of grieving children find a warm and welcoming place to meet new friends who really understand how they feel, and begin to heal after the death of a loved one.

Ele's Place is a wonderful organization to help children who have experienced significant loss in their life.

Congratulations to the winner of the Devil Without a Cause Contest, terrieh40

The most badass thing I ever did was decide to go to a Monster Magnet concert in '98 and getting to see Kid Rock open for them in a club in Pittsburgh. I bought Devil Without a Cause there and have been a huge fan ever since. An important night since it introduced me to music that would share so many moments in my life later on. A truly badass night.

I picked up a lady walking on a snowy country road with several bags with her, her bus didn't come she was going to the hospital for chemo. I was going the other way, but I had to help her, so I turned around and took her.

Congratulations to the winner of February's Contest: With a One-Two...Its Two for One, OutsidetheBox

My Valentine goes to Margo here in Kid Rock and before all you go you know where -LOL-let me explain. I adore Margo who is now one of my dearest friends and I would be lost without her friendship. I met Margo through yes this Kid Rock Fan Club. Margo has been there for me more than she can ever know through so much and has never wavered or gave me any reason not to call her my friend and I mean a real friend. Margo does not judge me, she lets me vent , she let's me laugh, she lets me cry and she is there to encourage me. I have had one of the hardest years in my life being a mother and thought I could not survive it all and guess what my friend Margo has been there for me and all my emotions, feelings, heartache, joy and more. She has been here for me so much, I would of gone insane had it not been for her friendship over this past time in my life. I know Margo and I will now be friends always and we have a very strong friendship/bond built upon our crazy sense of humor, trust, no-judgment of each other and just really the true meaning of the word friends. So my Valentine is Margo-I love my friend and thank her for being there for me so much -I would of lost it had it not been for her.

Congratulations to the winner of December's "Best Kid Rock Moment of 2013" contest, Linda Newman

I have so many Kid Rock moments for 2013 to share it is hard to pick from. In July we did an eight hour road trip towing my toy hauler with it's "Canadian Girls Luv Kid Rock" graphics to the Blossom Music Centre in Ohio. It was a girls trip with my neighbour/friend & our daughters. It was totally awesome from the moment we left - the road trip, pre-party, concert & after-party. We have some great pics of all the girls having the best night ever!!!!!

In August I traveled with my son & daughter on our motorcycles to see Bobby in his home town. It was amazing for our first long motorcycle trip together to go to the States to see Bobby!!!!! It was my son's first Kid Rock Concert & it wont be his last - it was awesome watching my heavy metal kid become a Kid Rock fan!!!!! I was so thrilled to be able to work my way to front row for his last song, my fav - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! The pictures and videos make that concert live in my memories forever!!!!

In September I did a solo trip to Atlanta Georgia to see Bobby on my Street Glide with his CD's blasting all the way!!!! I could not find people willing to ride that far but there was no way I was gonna miss him for my last concert in 2013 to see him. I made some amazing new friends & got some incredible pics as they were my best seats ever for the best night ever tour!!!!

I wrapped up 2013 with setting up a guest room in my house that I have fondly dubbed my "Kid Rock Room" it features many pics from my concerts.

I luv Bobby for his music, what he does for his hometown, country & the troops.

I just have to say please please please come back to Canada!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to the winner of November's "Who's your Hero" contest, laylow9

My hero is my grandpa, because he used to play the banjo. He used to play for the family (my moms side). The banjo wasn't a common instrument to be used. I heard that the banjos a very difficult instrument to play. Recently I say Miranda Lambert playing one in the new vid with Keith Urban, she is another hero of mine. I'm sad to say I never actually met my grandpa, he passed away only 1 mo. After he retired from GM. I only hear what my mom says but his music has left an impact on me. His favorite artist were Bill Monroe, Johnny Cash, he liked bluegrass. That is were I get my country roots from; my Grandparents were from Kenn. My grandpa worked in the coal mines there, so when I hear Loretta Lyn's Coal Miners daughter I always think of him, and I say I was born a coal miners granddaughter. I imagine he was a real nice guy, my mom said he also liked to party. I know that Apple didn't fall far from the tree! :) He also played the guitar and the fiddle. I went to the Hank Williams Jr. Concert, who played the fiddle. He threw it across the stage lol I thought that was awesome. I'm glad my Grandpa was passionate about something, it made me want to explore music more, maybe one day I'll learn how to play!
