I thank Kid Rock for putting his fans first by offering tickets for $20 [April 11, Courant.com, "Kid Rock Drops Ticket Prices To $20, But Will the Industry Respond?"]. I hope more artists take steps to protect their fans from scalpers.

What gets me after reading the article is "Fan Freedom," the Stub Hub propaganda front. Fan Freedom aims to mislead and exploit real fans. Fan Freedom tries to protect the business of scalpers grabbing thousands of tickets for the best artists and then forcing the rest of us to pay them huge prices. Scalpers win, the artist and fans lose.
